Suite au crime crapuleux commis contre quatre innocents à Katrmaya, le 28/04/2010, nous condamnons vivement l’Etat et ses services de sécurité qui à travers sa réaction irresponsable, a mené les citoyens à commettre un autre crime non moins horrible et crapuleux.

Aussi nous condamnons et refusons le comportement des villageois qui ont enlevé le suspect et l’ont abattu dans des conditions atroces au vu et au su des forces de sécurité, des villageois dont des enfants, et des medias présents.

Ce qui s’est passé nous rappelle les pires cauchemars de la guerre.

N’est-ce pas la conséquence des instigations confessionnelles, racistes, tribales et régionales que nos écrans et autres moyens d’information diffusent, et les déclarations que nos responsables ne cessent de renouveler tous les jours?

Est-ce l’avenir cela que nous voulons laisser à nos enfants ?

Nous appelons ceux qui entendront notre appel et l’adoptent à le transmettre à tous les Libanais et non libanaise vivant au Liban ou à l’étranger.

Soyez nombreux pour devenir unis.

Ensemble nous mettrons fin à ce cycle de violence et nous construirons la paix.

APPEAL

After the despicable crime that was committed against four innocents in Katrmaya on the 28th of April 2010, we strongly condemn the Lebanese State and its security system. Through its irresponsible reaction, it has brought the citizens to perpetrate another crime, which is not less horrible and atrocious.

We also condemn and refuse the behaviour of the villagers who have kidnapped the suspect, killing him under appalling conditions in front of the security forces, the other villagers and their kids, and the present media.

What happened reminded us of the worst nightmares of the war.

Isn’t this a consequence of the confessional, racist, tribal and regional instigations that our tv-screens and other media diffuse, and of the declarations that our politicians never end to revive?

Is this the future we want to build for our children?

We invite everyone who reads this appeal to forward it to all the Lebanese and non-Lebanese citizens that live in the country or abroad.

The more we are, the stronger we will become.

Together we can put an end to the cycle of violence and we will construct peace.
