Lebanese Laique Pride

انطلاقا من مقدمة الدستور اللبناني التي تنص على ما يلي:
أ - لبنان وطن سيد حر مستقل، وطن نهائي لجميع أبنائه، واحد أرضاً وشعباً ومؤسسات في حدوده المنصوص عنها في هذا الدستور والمعترف بها دولياً.
ب - لبنان عربي الهوية والانتماء وهو عضو مؤسس وعامل في جامعة الدول العربية وملتزم مواثيقها، كما هو عضو مؤسس وعامل في منظمة الأمم المتحدة وملتزم مواثيقها والإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان وتجسد الدولة هذه المبادئ في جميع الحقوق والمجالات دون استثناء.
ج - لبنان جمهورية ديمقراطية برلمانية، تقوم على احترام الحريات العامة وفي طليعتها حرية الرأي والمعتقد، وعلى العدالة الاجتماعية والمساواة في الحقوق والواجبات بين جميع المواطنين دون تمايز أو تفضيل.
د - الشعب مصدر السلطات وصاحب السيادة يمارسها عبر المؤسسات الدستورية.


أنا مواطن(ة) لبناني(ة)،
أرفض تدخل الدين في شؤون الدولة كما أرفض تدخل الدولة في دين المواطن
أرفض الدولة الطائفية الموزعة حصصاً وغنائم على زعماء الطوائف وأرفض تصنيف اللبنانيين على أساس انتمائهم الطائفي،
أطالب بدولة مدنيّة علمانية، وبقانون مدني للأحوال الشخصية.
أطالب الدولة بأن تعترف بحقي كمواطن وتحترم انسانيتي ومواطنيتي بغض النظر عن معتقداتي الدينية.
أطالب بدولة لا تقوم السلطة السياسية فيها على طريقة العشائرية القبلية.
أريد دولة ديمقراطية يتساوى فيها المواطنون أمام القانون، ويتمتعون سواسيّةً بحرية التعبير والرأي والمعتقد.

كل مواطن أو مؤسّسة أو منظّمة أو جمعيّة تدعم مبدأ العلمانيّة مدعوّة إلى المشاركة في هذا التجمّع بطريقة حرّة ومسؤولة ومستقلّة.
على كل من يرى في هذا النداء ما يعبّر عنه أن ينقل هذه الرسالة إلى معارفه كلهم (أصدقاء، أفراد العائلة، متديّنين وملحدين)، وبشتى الطرق لإيصال الخبر إلى أكبر عدد ممكن من المواطنين للمشاركة في هذا التجمع.

آن الأوان لإثبات وجودنا، فلنكسر صمتنا ونتكلم عالياً
يوم الأحد الواقع في ٢٥ نيسان ٢٠١٠، نسير معاً نحو العلمانيّة في لبنان.
سينتقل التجمع من عين المريسه ليصل الى مبنى البرلمان.

ملاحظة هامة! تصدر هذه المبادرة عن حركة مواطنيّة لن تقبل مهما كان أن تكون مصادرة من أي جهة سياسيّة

Based on the preamble of the Lebanese Constitution which states the following:

a. Lebanon is a sovereign, free, and independent country. It is a final homeland for all its citizens. It is unified in its territory, people, and institutions within the boundaries defined in this constitution and recognized internationally.
b. Lebanon is Arab in its identity and in its association. It is a founding and active member of the League of Arab States and abides by its pacts and covenants. Lebanon is also a founding and active member of the United Nations Organization and abides by its covenants and by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Government shall embody these principles in all fields and areas without exception.
c. Lebanon is a parliamentary democratic republic based on respect for public liberties, especially the freedom of opinion and belief, and respect for social justice and equality of rights and duties among all citizens without discrimination.
d. The people are the source of authority and sovereignty; they shall exercise these powers through the constitutional institutions.

as well as on the articles 7 and 9 of the Lebanese Constitution:

Article 7
All Lebanese are equal before the law. They equally enjoy civil and political rights and equally are bound by public obligations and duties without any distinction.
Article 9
There shall be absolute freedom of conscience. The state inrendering homage to the Most High shall respect all religions and creeds and guarantees, under its protection, the free exercise of all religious rites provided that public order is not disturbed. It also guarantees that the personal status and religious interests of the population, to whatever religious sect they belong, is respected.


I, Lebanese citizen,
am against the interference of religion in the functioning of the Lebanese State just as I am against the interference of the State in the citizen's religion,
I am against the sectarian State distributed among the confession leaders just as I am against the classifying of the Lebanese according to their religious belonging,
I demand a civil secular State, with a civil code for personal matters.
I demand from the State to recognize my rights as a citizen and to respect my humanity and citizenship regardless of my religious beliefs.
I demand a State where the political power is not clannish or tribal.
I want a democratic State where citizens are equal facing the law and where they enjoy equally the freedom of speech, opinions and beliefs.


Every citizen, institution, organization, association who supports the principle of secularism is invited to participate in this gathering as a free, responsible and independent member.
Everyone who identifies with this call is urged to deliver this message to all his acquaintances (friends, family members, religious and non-religious), and to do his best in informing the maximum number of citizens about this gathering.

We are many to defend the idea of a non-confessional State in Lebanon, a secular Lebanese State...
Let us prove we exist, let us break out our silence and speak it out loud.

IMPORTANT! THIS IS A CITIZENS' MOVEMENT THAT SHALL REFUSE TO BE SEIZED BY POLITICS.

En partant du préambule de la Constitution libanaise, qui déclare que:

a. Le Liban est une Patrie souveraine, libre et indépendante. Patrie définitive pour tous ses fils, unitaire dans son territoire, son peuple et ses institutions, à l'intérieur de ses frontières fixées dans cette Constitution et reconnues internationalement.
b. Le Liban est arabe dans son identité et son appartenance. Il est membre fondateur et actif de la Ligue des Etats Arabes et engagé par ses pactes; de même qu'il est membre fondateur et actif de l'Organisation des Nations-Unies, engagé par ses pactes et par la Déclaration Universelle des Droits de l'Homme. L'Etat concrétise ces principes dans tous les champs et domaines sans exception.
c. Le Liban est une république démocratique, parlementaire, fondée sur le respect des libertés publiques et en premier lieu la liberté d'opinion et de conscience, sur la justice sociale et l'égalité dans les droits et obligations entre tous les citoyens sans distinction ni préférence.
d. Le peuple est la source des pouvoirs et le détenteur de la souveraineté qu'il exerce à travers les institutions constitutionnelles.

et des articles 7 et 9 de la Constitution, qui énoncent le suivant:

Article 7
Tous les libanais sont égaux devant la loi. Ils jouissent également des droits civils et politiques et sont également assujettis aux charges et devoirs publics, sans distinction aucune.
Article 9
La liberté de conscience est absolue. En rendant hommage au Très-Haut, l'Etat respecte toutes les confessions et en garantit et protège le libre exercice à condition qu'il ne soit pas porté atteinte à l'ordre public. Il garantit également aux populations, à quelque rite qu'elles appartiennent, le respect de leur statut personnel et de leurs intérêts religieux.


Je, citoyen(ne) libanais(e), suis contre l’ingérence de la religion dans le fonctionnement de l’Etat tout comme je suis contre l’ingérence de l’Etat dans la religion du citoyen,
je suis contre l’Etat sectaire partagé entre les chefs des confessions tout comme je suis contre la classification des libanais selon leurs religions,
je demande un Etat civil, laïque, avec un code civil pour les statuts personnels.
Je demande que l’Etat reconnaisse mes droits de citoyen et respecte mon humanité et ma citoyenneté indépendamment de mes croyances religieuses.
Je demande un Etat où le pouvoir politique ne repose ni sur le clanisme ni le tribalisme.
Je demande un Etat démocratique où les citoyens sont égaux devant la loi et jouissent à égalité de la liberté d’expression, d’opinions et de croyance.


Tout citoyen, institution, organisation, association, qui soutient le principe de la laïcité est invité à participer à ce rassemblement d'une manière libre, responsable et indépendante.
Tous ceux qui se sentent concernés par cet appel sont encouragés à transmettre ce message à leur entourage (amis, famille, collègues, croyants ou non-croyants), et à faire de leur mieux pour informer le plus grand nombre possible de citoyens au sujet de ce rassemblement.


Nous sommes nombreux à défendre l'idée d'un État non-confessionnel au Liban, un Etat libanais laïque.
Prouvons que nous existons, brisons le silence et faisons-nous entendre.
LE DIMANCHE 25 AVRIL 2010, à 11H, nous marcherons ensemble pour la laïcité. Le rassemblement partira de Ain El Mraissé en direction du Parlement.
